Alison Hixon (b. 1992) is recognized for her surreal paintings that reflect the interplay between our inner and outer worlds, inviting viewers to confront the discomfort of the unfamiliar emotional landscapes that shape us.
Born in the Midwest. Hixon earned her BFA from Stephens College in Columbia, MO. She began her creative career in Chicago as an actress in theatre and film while growing into her visual art.
Hixon’s work is held in numerous private collections across the U.S. and internationally. Currently represented by Susan Eddings Pérez Gallery in Santa Fe, she continues to create work that examines the fluidity of existence and strives to stay curious. She was featured in Vogue as an artist not to miss on Canyon Road in 2023.
